MIDI is a wonderful development in music. This week you will learn to create MIDI files, manipulate some code in MIDI, and save the MIDI files. You will be using MIDI files throughout the course, so pay carefull attention to the material given this week.
Spend some time studying Finding the MIDI values and instrument PCs in Reaper. This is a companion to several of the videos given in this Unit.
In this creativity course you will be gathering materials created by others and including them in your products. It is very important that you understand legal and ethical issues with using creations--property--made by others. The materials on copyright and Creative Commons will provide an introduction to the subject.
