Blue Letter Bible is one of my favorite online resources for Bible study.
Bible Gateway a great resource for multiple Bible translations in different languages.
My favorite English language version of the Bible is the New King James Version. I prefer it for its choice of Greek and Hebrew manuscripts and indications of alternative sources, its grammatical and historical approach to translation, the use of italics to indicate the translators' insertion of extra words, the different indications of God's name in the text, and the poetry and economy of its style.

The "Disciples Prayer" also known as the "Lord's Prayer" makes a superb template to organize your prayers. While it is a wonderful prayer just to recite, there is more to the instructions from Jesus than just a special "incantation." Personalize the seven portions of the prayer. Here are some ideas: link (pdf) | pdf copy
Make a prayer list. Consider organizing prayer needs into lists. 1) Everyday list for family, close friends, and urgent requests. 2) Here is a weekly pattern I learned many years ago. (Sorry I can't cite the source) Monday--missions. Pray for ministries around the world and your home country. Tuesday--tasks. Yours and others. Wednesday--workers. Your colleagues on the job. Government officials. Thursday--thanksgiving. Spending extra time in thanks to God. Friday--family. Praying for all of your family members, close and extended. Saturday--sinners. Special prayers for those in need of faith in God. Sunday--saints. Special prayers for those in church, fellowship, etc.
