Although I have seen some of Dekker’s books in Christian bookstores, this is the first book of his I have read. This book has the suspense and action of a Ludlum novel. The difference, however, is with the emphasis on spiritual issues and the inner turmoil in the Saint’s soul.
I am in turmoil about picking up another Dekker novel. Saint was very exciting to read, but as a result one evening I couldn’t get to sleep because I had to read the ending. I have to decide whether I want to risk another sleepless night!
A search on the Internet has revealed that Dekker has quite a following. This talented writer appeals to a large audience and I now understand why.
